Don't Go There Under the pseudonym Jack Gasoline, I bought the domain name www.jackgasoline.com and set up a website that could only handle 100 visits before it expired. I asked people to visit the site but not click on the link that would hasten the site's death. I made this piece to help me think about divestiture and refusal as political acts: sometimes it's a more powerful gesture to not do something. I also liked the idea of making a digital artwork with a very analog "organic" element: a life and death. It took less than one hour to kill the site.
